To keep it really real, “Dirty Computer” is the first music wise I’ve actually heard from Janelle Monae. When I think of her I instantly think FASHION ICON, because lets be honest, she SLAYS the fashion game but I’m actually really diggin’ the vibe of this album.
Monae is unapologetically herself on this project. She’s vulnerable, she’s fun, she’s 100% open about being different and embraces it completely. She’s giving her fans and just anyone that takes a listen really, the power to own and accept whoever they are.
“I Like That” and “I Got The Juice” ft. Pharell Williams are some of my favorite tracks off “Dirty Computer.” Head over to your favorite music streaming service now and let me know which song you’re feelin’ the most.
“A little crazy, little sexy, little cool
Little rough around the edges but I keep it smooth
I’m always left of center and that’s right where I belong
I’m the random minor note you hear in major songs”
Monae is a terrific entertainer and I loved her in Hidden Figures.
