The Purdy Lounge in South Beach has, in my opinion, gotten an upgrade this week!
Earlier this week a graffiti artist hid in a bathroom until the lounge closed and tagged two of the bar’s walls. F#CK!NG AMAZING! The bar’s manager, Aron Epstein, commented that “It’s an Art Basel terrorist artist. But he was meticulous. It’s not like he was trying to ruin anything.” They’re now considering what to do about the walls; “On the one hand you want to be angry and by the same token we’re like “This is pretty crazy. It’s pretty cool.”
I think they should keep it, it adds a little extra something to the lounge.
