As soon as I heard “The Matrimony” off of Wale’s The Album About Nothing, I immediately called it as one of my favorites and this cinematic visual for the song is exactly what I expected from it.
In the video you see a young couple about to get married and although the groom isn’t Wale, you see flashbacks of him and the bride to be and you already know there’s going to be some sort of crazy love story ending. This scenario is one that I know too many people can relate to – having to see the one you love, love someone else. Sometimes its a case of “right person, wrong time” but you just might eventually get your happy ending.
