“Underrated is an understatement, they tryin’ to test greatness”
Travi$ Scott officially hit us with his debut album, Rodeo, this past Friday and in my opinion it definitely lived up to all the hype around it!
Expecting nothing less, La Flame kept it LIT on this album with features from artists such as Future, Kanye West, Schoolboy Q, The Weeknd and even Justin Bieber.
My personal favorites from the album are “Maria I’m Drunk” ft. Justin Bieber, “3500” ft. Future and 2 Chainz, “Pray 4 Love” ft. The Weeknd, “90210” ft. Kacy Hill and of course “Antidote”
Scott’s sound is so different and unique that the only way I know to explain it is trippy hype music? It can be so chill yet so hard-hitting that it makes me either want to turn up or walk around the streets of NYC and look for inspiration. But that’s what being an artist is supposed to be about right? To both entertain and inspire.
I feel like Travis is a misunderstood artist that just has a rep for being rowdy and making ignorant comments but in all honestly he’s keeping it real by being his authentic self and for some people that’s a tough pill to swallow.
“Pray 4 the ones I hate, the ones I love, pray for my liver when I’m off in this club, I pray that the demons go away they haunting us, man I can’t take no more of this lifestyle we been living man I can’t take no more of the white powers in position”
I salute you La Flame on your first album, I f#ck with you heavy!
Be sure to cop Rodeo on iTunes now and catch him on The Weeknd’s Beauty Behind The Madness tour this fall!
