On Christmas day, Toronto native, Tory Lanez, dropped not just one but two new mixtapes: The New Toronto & Chixtape 3. I’m so mad that I waited until now to give both mixtapes a good listen because Mr. Lanez…you just gave me LIFE!
The New Toronto is definitely Tory’s more hard hitting mixtape while Chixtape 3 is giving me those R&B vibes I crave so much.
On NT, there were about 4 stand out songs for me out of the 11 track mixtape- ( One Day, Traphouse, Lord Knows Pt.2, Them Days ) while Chixtape 3 sampled so many of my favorite throwbacks from my middle school days such as “Jagged Edge- Walked Outta Heaven,” “Usher-U Got It Bad,” and “Destinys Child – Say My Name,” that it made it almost impossible for me to narrow it down to any one of them being my favorite, Tory is just that damn good.
Do yourself a favor and download both mixtapes ASAP, especially Chixtape 3 😉 .
