I’ve given myself a week to fully digest SZA’s debut LP CTRL and honestly this Neo Soul babe has given me Lemonade vibes but with a sweeter more subtle taste and I’m LIVING for it. Now don’t get it twisted, I’m not trying to compare this album to Beyoncé’s Lemonade, I just mean that SZA has evoked similar emotions on this body of work such as strength, vulnerability and finding & owning your self-worth.
With soulful vocals and both powerful & very relatable lyrics, SZA has a song for every scenario a woman goes through in her life and she’s giving them strength!
Offering 14 tracks with features from Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and Isaiah Rashad, it’s difficult to choose just a few stand outs but “Broken Clocks,” “Doves in the Wind” ft. K.Lamar and “Supermodel” are a VIBE.
