In anticipation to Beyoncé’s platinum edition self-titled album which is set to come out next week, the diva has come out with two new songs: 7/11 and Ring Off.
7/11 gives us a little taste of Yoncé’s turnt side. This song is definitely one for you and your girls to turn up to while getting ready for a night out, which is exactly what it looks like in the video she released for the song as well. She never ceases to amaze me, she is SO BAD! My woman crush foreva eva!
The second song, Ring Off, is a little more personal. Bey keeps it light with an island vibe for the beat but listening closely to the lyrics the song is actually about leaving a bad relationship. Rumors are already flying claiming the track is referring to her marriage with Jay-Z but the song is really about Beyoncé’s mother, Tina, who has moved on from her father Mathew Knowles.
“Mama, you live and learn, that’s just the way life goes, always know that you’ve got a daughter that’s so, so proud you took the high road.”
