The Weeknd || Beauty Behind The Madness

XO fans we finally got our fix!

The Weeknd’s sophomore studio album, Beauty Behind The Madness, finally released today and there truly is so much beauty behind Abel’s creative madness!

The influence of Michael Jackson is heard all over this album! A part from “Can’t Feel My Face”, “In The Night” is another song in particular that is giving me those MJ vibes-from The Weeknd’s voice to the musical arrangements to the muse, it’s all MJ inspired and I’m definitely about it!

Besides channeling the King Of Pop, I’ve always said one of the reasons why I’m such a fan of The Weeknd is because of how raw and unapologetic he is with his lyrics. I can’t relate to the pill poppin’ but I sure as hell can relate to his stories of love, sex and heartbreak. “Dark Times” ft. Ed Sheeran is one of those songs where I’m just like “damn, I feel that.”

This aint the right time for you to fall in love with me, but baby I’m just being honest”

“In my dark times baby this is all I could be, only my mother could love me for me”

But if we’re keeping it 100, “Angel” really hit my heart hard and is probably my favorite track off the album. That song has some serious power behind it. I’m not gonna lie, I might have shed a tear or two listening to it, impossible not to when music speaks to you.

“Angel, I feel you closer every time I call you, I call you. cause all I see are wings, I can see your wings but I know what I am and the life I live and even though I sin baby we are born to live but I know time will tell if we’re meant for this..and if we’re not,I hope you find somebody…I hope you find somebody to love…somebody to love”

“Acquainted” and “Shameless” were two other standout songs for me as well.

“To say that we’re in love is dangerous but girl I’m so glad we’re acquainted”

“You want me to fix you but its never enough, that’s why you always call me cause you’re scared to be loved..but I’ll always be there for you..I’ll always be there for you..girl I have no shame”

I just can’t get enough of this album or The Weeknd! I’m reppin’ XO ’til the death!
