It’s been about 2 weeks since the release of The Weeknd’s album Starboy and I Just can’t get enough of this project!
Without a doubt House of Balloons will forever remain my favorite offering of his but as time passes there’s no denying the growth of The Weeknd as an artist. He’s not afraid to take risks and that plays a huge part of his success. All 18 tracks of Starboy are currently sitting on the Billboard Hot 100 charts and like Abel tweeted not too long ago “XO you did that!”
Right before he dropped the album, The Weeknd released a visual titled MANIA which featured tracks from Starboy. From the opening with a sexy panther sitting upon a pedestal in an all white room to seeing a beautiful femme fatale on the dance floor at a club which later turned into a bloody bathroom scene, this video is ill to say the least and definitely added to the intrigue of this creation.
With features from the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Future, Daft Punk and Lana del Rey, it’s hard to choose just a few standouts but a huge highlight for me would be “All I Know” ft. Future. That song is EVERYTHING.

“True Colors” is another favorite of mine. I feel like this one will definitely resonate with his female fans a little more which is probably why I’m such a fan of his, he’s always sure to cater to the ladies.

From cutting his hair to experimenting with his sound to now having another #1 album, this year has proven to be monstrous for The Weeknd and I feel as if he’s still just scratching the surface!
If you haven’t already heard Starboy then 1. Where the F#ck have you been?! and 2. Get on that ASAP!
