Thursday night the Toronto rapper released a mixtape out of nowhere titled ” If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late.” The project consists of 17 songs with features from PARTYNEXTDOOR, Travi$ Scott, and Lil Wayne.
Drizzy is Drizzy so you already know anytime he drops something new it’s going to be good. He’s often critiqued for being “too soft” but he definitely took the chance to address his haters with some of these tracks such as “6PM In New York.”
“You need to act your age and not your girls age “(ouch Tyga!)
“No Tellin” is another hard hitter, he’s so clever with his lyrics, I swear every time I hear one of his punch lines I just have to put my hands up and say “Preacchhhh!”
“I mean we hear about the money you been getting’ we just never seen the visual”
“What’s the word these days bunch of niggas chasing after all these women they don’t even know, bunch of out of season women fuckin’ off season niggas to get last season wardrobe..”
He most definitely was not lying when he said “Ok I had to switch the flow up on you niggas shit was getting too predictable…the new shit is on steroids I would never pass a physical!”
I love hearing Drake go in over these “40”, Boy-1da and Vinylz produced beats but I’m a sucker for when he takes it slow and keeps it sweet and sexy for the ladies;”Madonna” is a stand out for me.
I could go on and on talking about this mixtape but honestly if you haven’t heard it already then you need to get your life together and get on it ASAP!
