I know that whenever I need my R&B fix I can count on Your Girl’s Favorite Singer, Derek Novah, to come through! Today the R&B crooner dropped some serious heat!
Earlier the LV CIUDVD member tweeted to one of his producers, Caleb Calloway, that he was tired of people judging without knowing him and that he had a few things he wanted to get off his chest.
In true R&B fashion, Novah usually uses his melodic vocals to get sensual with the ladies but this time around he’s using that captivating voice to get vulnerable with us.
Caleb Calloway set the mood for Derek to sing about personal problems, his hunger to succeed, as well as wanting to give his mother and little sister the best of the best.
I find it admirable when artists can get down to the nitty gritty and be so raw and open about their personal lives. In this generation the majority of new talent only talk about the money, clothes and cars and they quickly seem to lose sight of what’s REAL and what everyday life is like for some. Salute to those that keep it 100 and aren’t afraid to expose the good, the bad and the ugly.
“En la oscuridad yo voy a brillar”
I have no doubt about that at all Mr.Novah.
