When you think of R&B, Maxwell should be one of the top names to pop into your head instantly.
7 years after the release of his last album, BLACKsummersnight, this R&B vet is back blessing us with that beautiful voice of his on his latest track “Lake By the Ocean” which is the first single off of his upcoming album blackSUMMERS’night.
In a recent interview, Maxwell explained the song as being “..an expression of the cleansing and escape, a washing away of the past and joining forces in love with the beauty of romance, nature and the earth.”
With an explanation like that you already know “Lake By the Ocean” is something magical.
“You were the only one that made me fulfilled, only the thing that made me reveal, my destiny was before us, beach of a forest, anything aint nothing, it’s just…it’s just you, just us, nobody but love, on trust, on us, nobody now, can we swim a lake by the ocean, we’ll be one like drops in slow motion..”
Yup, he’s still got it, never lost it.
