Although we didn’t get an entire new album this week, Chance The Rapper surprise released 4 new singles on ChanceRaps.com to hold his fans over and he’s definitely been puttin’ that work in in the studio!
On these new songs, Chance takes full advantage of his platform to release some pent up energy and throws in a few surprises. On one of my favorites “I Might Need Security,” the rapper reveals that he’s making big moves by purchasing news website, The Chicagoist – “I look forward to re-launching it and bringing the people of Chicago an independent media outlet focused on amplifying diverse voices and content.” If anyone can help bring that diversity and truth to light it’s Chance.

Another favorite of mine is “Work Out.” In this single Chance expresses his softer side wishing nothing but the best for his ex’s while also showcasing his love and gratitude for his future wifey.

Not afraid to speak his truth, Chance is so open about his life through his music that he shows it in a way that his fans can not only enjoy it but relate to it as well. His brother, Taylor Bennett, also released a soul baring EP titled Be Yourself, which is a 6 track offering that showcases the talent that streams through their family.
